Relationships may have never meant more than this past
year when the Thunderbolts
were coming off a rare losing season, and then they suddenly lost teammate,
John Liescheski, who tragically died in spring conditioning drills. Aylward
credits his players for the team’s resiliency.
“I know John is always in the back of their minds, and it’s a
motivating factor for them,” he said. “They’ve worked hard to be the
absolute best they can be.”

COACH Tim Aylward
For nearly a quarter of a century Lincoln Pius X coach, Tim Aylward , has lead a football program that’s become synonymous with winning. While the Thunderbolt head coach has consistently produced championship seasons, it’s the personal relationships he recalls most. “I’ve had so many positive experiences with players and coaches,” said Aylward. “Those are the things that come to mind more than any game or championship.”
